Product gas biomethanation with inoculum enrichment and grinding

Abstract The use of cheap product gas from biomass air gasification to produce methane via anaerobic digestion is a novel and potential pathway for the large-scale production biomass-based substitute natural (BioSNG). In this experimental work, biomethanation (PGB) was studied with respect biosludge enrichment inoculum partial grinding as well mesophilic thermophilic conditions. results show that can effectively stop methanogenesis inhibition gas, particularly CO, thus increase reaction rate shorten start-up time. treatment clearly change microorganism composition reduce diversity microorganisms in mixed bacterium system biomethanation, thereby improving efficiency, which limited biomethanation.
